Responsibilities

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Taking digital radiographs and charting existing conditions and proposed treatment
  • Periodontal charting, routine prophylaxis, fluoride application, and placing sealants
  • Soft tissue management, scaling and root planning, and presenting proposed treatment with insurance coverage and patient co-pays
  • Keeping accurate notes

Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Dental Hygienist and BLS/CPR certification
  • Experience taking digital x-rays and intraoral photos
  • Knowledgeable of ADA codes
  • Maintains annual OSHA, HIPAA, BLS, and infection control training as required by law
