School Counselor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Counselor to join our team at Ringgold Elementary School South. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students, teachers, and parents to ensure the academic, personal, and social growth of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses the diverse needs of students.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students, focusing on academic, career, and personal-social development.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate guidance into the curriculum and provide support for students.
• Assist students in evaluating their aptitudes and abilities, and provide information and access to resources on potential careers.
• Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress and provide support as needed.
• Participate in IEP, GIEP, and Section 504 meetings to ensure students receive the support they need.
• Monitor student progress and make recommendations for interventions and support services.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or other administrators.

Requirements:

• PA Certification in Elementary and Secondary School Counseling K-12
• Bachelor's Degree
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions: The School Counselor will work in a school setting, interacting with students, teachers, and parents on a regular basis. The position requires a high level of energy, patience, and empathy.
