Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field observations, testing, and data collection to identify the root cause of structural issues.
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining your findings, testing results, and recommendations for repair or mitigation.
  • Collaborate with building departments to determine repair directives and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Assist in researching and developing technical topics for publication, and engage in client-relations marketing to promote our services.
  • Meet with peers and clients to discuss project progress and provide expert testimony as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license.
  • Highly qualified and experienced EI/EITs are considered.
  • Familiarity with modern building codes and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Willingness to travel and conduct site inspections, with a valid driver's license.
  • A desire to learn, grow, and excel with our team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a forensic engineer, with testimony experience as a designated expert witness.
  • Experience in engineering design or construction, with a focus on building envelopes and storm damage assessment.
  • Ability to work at heights, lift up to 50 pounds, and access confined spaces.

Compensation

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $90k - $150k, based on a wide array of factors including skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, and management responsibility.
