Soliant is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in a school district near Mount Prospect, IL.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students' occupational therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals to address students' fine motor skills, sensory integration, and activities of daily living.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in various settings, including classrooms, therapy rooms, and other educational environments.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to integrate therapy goals into students' academic and functional routines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid Illinois license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Previous experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school-based setting.
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
