Critical Facilities Engineer

We're seeking a self-motivated team member who has a strong sense of urgency and dedication to our team, our customers, and the Newfold Digital Vision. As a Critical Facilities Associate, you will provide technical and facility support in a 24x7 data center environment, including maintenance and oversight of electrical, HVAC, and building management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively support the safety of the environment and occupants and ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work.
- Monitor critical power, cooling, security, and support systems to maintain uptime service levels.
- Conduct limited maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operation of heating, cooling, and facility systems.
- Manage and update service tickets using the ticketing system for troubleshooting and customer installations.
- Perform daily operational checks on mechanical and electrical equipment and inspect buildings and equipment for any issues.
- Proactively identify any issues that may arise and contact on-call employees to help resolve them.
- Assist in coordinating access, work assignments, and changes for internal teams or vendors.
- Assist in creating and implementing required maintenance operating procedures.
- Procure goods and services through the procurement system as needed.
- Respond to third-party reports of mechanical or maintenance issues on the systems.
- Availability for overtime work and varying hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- As an essential worker, you will be expected to report to the building.
- Must be willing to work off-hours for unplanned emergencies, including on-call rotations.
- 3+ years of experience in a critical operations environment or data center (preferred but not required).
- Foreman or Master Electrician License.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing work tasks throughout the day.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to documented processes and safety codes.
- Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
- Dedication to learning and growing within the company.
- Customer service mentality with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Ability to obtain security clearance as required for customer support.
- Takes initiative to identify and address issues before they escalate, demonstrating a proactive approach to maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently, with a keen eye for detail and adherence to documented processes.
- Can adapt to changing work tasks and schedules.
- Works well within a team environment, collaborating with colleagues and vendors to achieve operational goals and maintain facility functionality.
- Able to effectively communicate and interact with team members, vendors, and customers, ensuring clear understanding and resolution of issues.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all aspects of the job, representing the company positively.
