Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine and emergency healthcare services to students, including administering medications, conducting vision and hearing screenings, and providing first aid.
  • Develop and implement health education programs for students, staff, and families to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent illness.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure students receive comprehensive support.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student health information.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families to ensure seamless healthcare services.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Arizona.
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Working Conditions

The School Nurse will work in a school setting, with occasional travel to other district locations. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
