Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Podiatry Medical Director to lead our Musculoskeletal Clinical Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in the field of Podiatry, with a focus on Musculoskeletal care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in Podiatry, with a focus on Musculoskeletal care.
  • Maintain high clinical standards and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Plan and lead subspecialty meetings with Podiatry providers system-wide.
  • Lead physician collaborations in the Musculoskeletal Clinical Program for the Podiatry subspecialty.
  • Participate as the Podiatry subspecialty content expert with the Value Analysis Team.
  • Design and implement care models that meet the needs of patients with Musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Communicate regularly with Musculoskeletal providers across the system.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Clinical Program, Service Lines, and operations to develop care pathways for Musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Assist service line leadership, specialty care, and Medical Group in the recruitment process.
  • Evaluate opportunities to scale resources across the region using technology.
  • Serve as a system expert for peer review for Musculoskeletal cases in the Podiatry subspecialty.
  • Participate in the Musculoskeletal Clinical Program strategic planning process.
  • Support research endeavors for the Musculoskeletal Clinical Program.
Requirements
  • DPM degree from a CMPE-accredited institution.
  • ABFAS or ABPM Board Certification in Podiatry.
  • Active licensure or in process of obtaining licensure.
  • Three years of clinical experience working as an Orthopedic Surgeon in Podiatry subspecialty.
  • Two years of experience leading successful improvement in clinical settings.
  • Two years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
  • Experience with change management and leading in the adaptation and implementation of new processes or technology.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Trained in improvement science (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, Project management).
  • Experience working in a complex health system.
  • Demonstrated leadership of clinicians.
