Surgical Advanced Practice Provider

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is a collaborative health system dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and experience. Our organization is built on a foundation of nearly 300 care sites, including 11 hospitals and a team of approximately 5000 healthcare professionals.
We are currently seeking a skilled surgical Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for a PRN position within our established surgical team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will be integral to our surgical operations, particularly in the areas of cardiac and thoracic surgery. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Endoscopic vein harvesting
- Assisting in cardiac surgeries
- Supporting robotic thoracic surgeries
- Conducting rounds in ICU, PCU, and medical-surgical units

- Stable team environment with low turnover rates
- Hospital-based practice encompassing OR, ICU, PCU, and surgical units
- Focus on traditional and minimally invasive surgical techniques
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- Current WA state license as a PA/NP (or eligibility to obtain)
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in cardiothoracic surgery
- Proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting
- Experience with open radial harvesting is preferred, training available
- Familiarity with robotic surgical techniques is a plus, training available
- Experience in ICU patient management, including ventilator and drip management
- Current CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications (or eligibility to obtain)

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $103.00 per hour.
