Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Porter/Custodial to join our team at Big Y. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our customers and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the store, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Operate equipment and machinery, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers, to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Restock supplies and maintain inventory levels to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in janitorial or maintenance work preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
