The Clinical Trials Nurse will oversee clinical research trials processes, manage trial operations, and hold responsibility for problem-solving and decision-making to optimize clinical trial success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage trial operations and oversee clinical research trials processes.
  • Hold responsibility for problem-solving and decision-making to optimize clinical trial success as it relates to the experience of study participants, adherence to clinical trials standards, relationship with the Sponsor team, and the general success of Cortica's Innovation Network.
  • Serve as an in-house phlebotomist for all active clinical trials, including responsibilities for drawing blood, processing blood and urine samples, packaging, and shipping out all samples in adherence to applicable protocols.
  • Take initiative to complete study tasks in a purposeful manner, looping supervisory staff in when challenges arise.
  • Provide mentorship and support the practical training of Research Coordinators.
  • Communicate with families and organizations throughout the community to spread awareness of research opportunities for local children and adolescents.
  • Recruit, screen, schedule, enroll, and run participants through study visits both in-clinic and in-home.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure all visit tasks are performed to protocol.
  • Maintain secure and accurate data collection, entry, and record-keeping.
  • Coordinate with study sponsors to ensure regulatory documents and processes are followed.
  • Maintain organization of all study materials, including laboratory materials, assessment kits, and investigational products.
