Healthcare Nurse Specialist

Job Summary:
Kaleida Health is seeking a skilled Healthcare RN to join our team in the Surgical Services department. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat human responses to actual and potential health problems through case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of care supportive or restorative of life and well-being.
- Execute medical regimens prescribed by a licensed physician, dentist, or other licensed healthcare provider, in accordance with NYS Department of Health regulations.
- Adhere to current Kaleida policies and standards of practice.
- Current NYS registration as a Registered Professional Nurse/RN Permit required upon hire and must be maintained thereafter.
- American Heart Association-Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months of Hire and must be maintained thereafter.
- Surgical Services – OR experience preferred for RNs in the OR.
Requirements:
- Internal applicants must have been employed in the same job title as the per diem position for which they are applying or in a comparable area of practice.
- Internal applicants must have a minimum of nine (9) continuous months of comparable work experience within two (2) years of the time the per diem job is posted.
- External applicants must have a minimum of one (1) continuous year of comparable work experience within two (2) years of the time the per diem job is posted.
Per Diem Position:
This is a per diem position, and the wage will be determined based on factors such as candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
