Job Summary

Unity Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team as a CT Scanner Specialist. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing CT scanning examinations, ensuring the efficient operation of the department, and promoting the philosophy of quality and continuity of patient care.

Responsibilities

Perform CT scanning examinations, contributing to the efficient operation of the department and promoting the philosophy of quality and continuity of patient care.
Operate CT equipment, manage patients during radiology procedures, and have knowledge of exams using contrast agents.
Display a good understanding of age-related developmental issues of Neonate, Infant, Child, Adolescence, Adult, and Geriatric, and communicate with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization.
Work overtime as needed, as well as on-call duty and disaster work as required by workload and unforeseen circumstances.

Requirements

Must be a graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists as a Radiology Technologist and/or CT Technologist is required.
Prior experience is preferred, and extensive on-the-job training is provided.

Working Conditions

The worker is required to stand much of the day and work is moderately heavy, with extensive amounts of assisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting patients required.
The worker must be able to adjust routine to accommodate patient or department needs without affecting departmental flow.
The position requires the ability to constantly lift objects heavier than 50 lb., perform difficult manipulative skills, and hand-eye coordination skills, walk and stand for prolonged periods, see objects closely, and hear normal sounds with some background noises.
The worker may frequently be exposed to blood, body fluids/tissues, and electromagnetic ionizing radiation as in CRT's (VDT's).
