Preload is in search of a dedicated Safety Compliance Officer to enhance our safety initiatives. The primary responsibility of the Safety Compliance Officer is to develop, oversee, and execute the safety protocols at Preload, ensuring a secure, healthy, and incident-free workplace.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough inspections of company facilities and job sites to identify potential safety and health risks, recommend corrective actions, and ensure implementation of safety measures.
- Design and deliver training programs for employees on safety practices, including fall protection, scaffolding, heavy machinery operation, and safe handling of hazardous materials.
- Establish and enforce safety policies in alignment with local, state, and federal OSHA regulations.
- Analyze industrial accident data and health hazards to provide insights for company personnel and external agencies.
- Act as a representative for the organization in client meetings and community outreach initiatives.
- Disseminate safety information through signage, posters, and barriers to mitigate risks and prevent access to dangerous areas.
- Investigate accidents and injuries, collaborating in the preparation of documentation for legal proceedings and investigations.
- Compile and submit necessary accident reports to regulatory bodies and the organization.
- Organize safety displays and materials for promotional activities, industry events, and exhibitions.
- Maintain comprehensive safety records and documentation.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Experience in tank construction, heavy construction safety, or a relevant degree from an accredited institution; or a combination of education and experience.
- Certifications in CPR/First Aid, OSHA OTI Construction Trainer, OSHA 30-Hour, or similar safety credentials.
- Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.
- Proficient in various software applications, including Internet, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and word processing.
