Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a current knowledge base of perioperative nursing practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement effective scheduling systems to optimize resource allocation.
- Provide conflict resolution and peer communication to promote a positive work environment.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of patients by maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Work independently and manage time effectively to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Exercise sound judgment and make informed decisions to resolve complex issues.
- Develop and maintain effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure clear and concise communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Write and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Utilize clinical nursing skills, including CPR and emergency response, to provide high-quality patient care.
- Operate and maintain operating room equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks effectively to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
- Three to five years of pertinent clinical and management experience.
- Ability to work full-time and maintain a high level of energy and productivity.
- Clinical excellence, leadership abilities, teaching competency, critical thinking, and excellent communication skills.
Education and Licensing:
- Nursing school graduate.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Oregon.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
