Experienced ICU Nurse for Cardiovascular Unit

DCH Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced ICU nurse to join our cardiovascular unit as a travel nurse. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled nurse to work in a high-paced environment and make a difference in the lives of our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in a cardiovascular ICU setting, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including cardiac surgery and medical patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans, and to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor and manage patients' hemodynamic status, including cardiac drips and titration, and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Participate in unit-specific quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Float to other units and departments as needed, including the emergency department, to support the needs of the hospital.
- 2 years of ICU experience, with a minimum of 1 year in a cardiovascular ICU setting.
- Current ACLS and BLS certification.
- Experience with cardiac drips and titration, as well as hemodynamic management.
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry and EKGs.
- Swans Ganz and phlebotomy experience preferred.
- 36-hour or 48-hour shifts, with every other weekend.
- Orientation includes 1 day of classroom training and 2 days of on-unit training.
