About Carilion Tazewell Community Hospital
Located in Tazewell, VA, our facility is an 8-bed critical access hospital, handling approximately 9,000 emergency department visits annually. This full-time position primarily involves night shifts, with alternating weekends and holidays.
As a registered nurse, you will be expected to deliver exceptional care and customer service, demonstrating respect, kindness, and empathy in every interaction with patients, families, and colleagues. RNs are responsible for coordinating and providing individualized care for patients across all age groups. Utilizing critical thinking and delegation skills, you will work collaboratively within a team to ensure quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct age-specific assessments and document findings to create a personalized care plan.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members and families to develop, implement, and evaluate an interdisciplinary care plan, adjusting as necessary based on patient status.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal outcomes for all age groups.
- Administer and document treatments and medications accurately using electronic medical record systems.
Qualifications
Education Graduate of an accredited nursing program or an approved program eligible for licensure examination.
Licensure/Certification Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible for licensure. CPR certification required, with ACLS, PALS, and NRP as needed.
Skills Proficiency in electronic medical records (EPIC) is essential. Successful completion of orientation and competency requirements is expected.
