About the Role

The Asset Protection Specialist is a key member of the Herms Beverly Hills team, responsible for enforcing and protecting the company's interests and assets. This includes ensuring the security and integrity of merchandise, money, technical equipment, supplies, and fixtures, as well as maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees and customers.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in loss prevention or retail, with a strong understanding of asset protection principles and practices. They will be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and management, and possess strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

The Asset Protection Specialist will be responsible for conducting regular inspections of the facility, maintaining accurate records, and investigating incidents and violations. They will also be tasked with managing outsourced guards and ensuring the physical security of the premises.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to maintain physical security and protection of assets
  • Investigate incidents and violations, and take corrective action as necessary
  • Manage outsourced guards and ensure the physical security of the premises
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and violations
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure a safe and secure environment
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in loss prevention or retail
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 8 hr Pre Assignment and 16 hr OTJ certificates / Security License (mandatory in NYC only)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, and to move and handle merchandise, which entails lifting, and perform all functions as set forth above
