Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team at Jobot. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a pivotal role in managing our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
Responsibilities- Maintain and update financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
- Prepare and manage journal entries and adjustments.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounting functions and operations.
- Provide financial advice and guidance to clients based on their specific financial situations.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards.
- Resolve financial discrepancies and irregularities promptly and accurately.
- A minimum of 1+ years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing journal entries and conducting bank reconciliations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Excel.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Exceptional numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex accounting issues.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and team members.
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification from the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB) or a similar body is a plus.
