Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and empathetic individual to provide supervision and mentorship to students in a residential treatment setting. As a Youth Counselor, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and help them develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to students, including role modeling appropriate behavior, redirection, and crisis management.
  • Implement social and recreational activities that promote positive relationships and personal growth.
  • Deliver direct services to residents, including daily living skills, meal preparation, hygiene practices, and recreational activities.
  • Refine students' social skills, interpersonal skills, and coping mechanisms through the development of respectful and positive relationships.
  • Be a positive role model and help shape growth and build trust with residents.
Requirements:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree or 60 college credits.
  • OR the equivalent of 2 years of full-time experience working with children.
  • OR any combination of credits in human services and experience with children that totals 2 years.
  • OR 7 years of parenting experience.
