Job Title: Visitation Coach

Job Summary:

The Visitation Coach will be responsible for supervising visits between biological parents/caregivers and their children. The Visitation Coach will work with the Quality Parenting Center (QPC) team to ensure that visits are conducted in accordance with the QPC model endorsed by the Department of Children and Families (DCF). The Visitation Coach will be responsible for pre and post meeting requirements, coaching parents in real-time during visits, and documenting visits using the prescribed narrative format.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise visits between biological parents/caregivers and their children
  • Work with the QPC team to ensure visits are conducted in accordance with the QPC model
  • Pre and post meeting requirements, including reaching agreements and ensuring the child's needs are met during all visits
  • Coach parents in real-time during visits, acknowledging parents' strengths in responding to their children and coaching to improve skills
  • Document visits using the prescribed narrative format
  • Develop visitation plans for each visit in conjunction with DCF
  • Develop visit goals with parents, caregivers, and DCF
  • Facilitate the discharge meeting/visit once a permanency goal is achieved

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree required, Bachelors preferred
  • Possess a valid CT driver's license with a clean driving record
  • CPR/1st Aid Certification required
