Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical assessments and treatment to offenders and justice-challenged individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver substance abuse education classes and group therapy sessions
  • Conduct one-on-one clinical assessments and counseling sessions
  • Maintain accurate clinical records
  • Participate in clinical staffing meetings and develop individual treatment plans
  • Coordinate transitional pre-release planning with case managers and maintain statistical data
  • Interact with community resource providers and security staff
  • Travel and drive on state business
Requirements:
  • Must be licensed in the State of Arizona as a Licensed Associate Substance Abuse Counselor (LASAC), Licensed Independent Substance Counselor (LISAC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or other relevant licenses
  • Ability to work in a secured correctional environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collect and maintain accurate data and documents
