We are seeking a talented and experienced Medical Director to lead and manage the Psychiatry Department at the Mountain Area Health Education Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving growth and excellence in patient care services and resident/student training.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Psychiatry Department, ensuring high-quality patient care services and resident/student training.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase patient volume and practice income.
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations Director and Administrative Director to develop policies and procedures.
- Represent the department on appropriate MAHEC committees and provide input for annual and long-range plans.
- Lead strategic change to meet organizational goals, ensuring effective communication and ongoing collaboration with other leaders of MAHEC.

- Leadership Presence: Display poise, confidence, and authenticity, eliciting respect from colleagues.
- Communication: Foster open communication, communicate clearly and convincingly, and tailor your message to your audience.
- Team Engagement: Create a climate where others want to do their best and feel personally invested, conveying trust and promoting shared decision-making.

Requirements:
- Licensure to practice medicine in North Carolina.
- Certification by the specialty board in Psychiatry.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience, educational and administrative abilities, and experience.
