Job Summary

A skilled Tube Welder is required to join our team at Zachry Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for welding, fabricating, and assisting Boilermakers in the installation and/or repair of various types of piping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Weld and fabricate piping components using 2g, 4g, and 6g positions
  • Assist Boilermakers in installation and repair of piping systems
  • Operate Stick and Tig welders on Tube & Pipe
  • Pass a weld test to demonstrate proficiency
  • Meet all physical requirements, including working at heights and in tight spaces
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience welding on industrial size and grade tube and pipe
  • Ability to weld in 2g, 4g, and 6g positions
  • Knowledge of various metals characteristics and qualities
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current Zachry or Zachry ROF'ed employee
  • Experience working as an Industrial Pipe Fitter/Boiler Maker
Physical Requirements

The employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting. The employee will also be required to work at heights and use a sky climber, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements.

Work Environment

The employee will be required to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold, and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE. The employee will also be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)/FRC's including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves, and leather steel-toed work boots.
