Job Description

Synerfac is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join their team in Johnstown, PA. This role will work closely with datacenter projects and clients in collaboration with a nationally recognized team of Principals in Charge and engineering professionals.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing engineering design and project management functions focused on design low to medium voltage power systems, electrical equipment, lighting systems, and telecommunications.

Responsibilities
  • Lead building systems engineering and design projects and perform activities related to MEP consulting engineering.
  • Consult with Principal in Charge on business development activities and prepare proposals, project cost estimates, personnel assignments, project scopes, and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with various departments on specific project requirements, specifically in design of electrical systems, including but not limited to low to medium voltage power distribution, utilities, lighting, and UPS systems.
  • Review and approve project documents, modifications, and changes for quality and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with engineering staff and clients throughout the design process.
  • Mentor junior level engineers and designers.
  • Conduct job site observations, construction administration, and electrical studies as necessary.
  • Professional communication with Company leadership, vendors, clients, and prospective clients.
Requirements

We are offering a salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have:

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in MEP building systems engineering and design.
  • Experience with AutoCAD is required; Revit software experience is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in project and personnel management is required.
  • Demonstrated experience working with low to medium voltage power systems and equipment is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in mission critical facilities and datacenters is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and provide outstanding service to clients.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Ability to work in and foster a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration or EIT close to obtaining PE.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain valid driver's license.
  • Must be authorized to work in U.S.
