Hunting Sales Associate Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Hunting Sales Associate to join our team at Sportsman's Warehouse.

Job Summary:

The Hunting Sales Associate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience, and promoting our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Approach each customer using the 5 non-negotiable Friedman Sales Training Steps.
  • Keep the department clean, faced, and straight at all times.
  • Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise and monitoring floor stock.
  • In-depth knowledge of form 4473.
  • Maintain accuracy when completing the employee portion of 4473.
  • Review and ensure accuracy on the customer portion of form 4473.
  • Ensure security of the hunting department, including the gun counter and firearm rooms.
  • Ensure all ATF standards are met for all firearm transactions.
  • Communicate customer requests to management.
  • Perform other tasks as necessary and assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work closely with customers and co-workers.
  • High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma recommended.
  • Sales training provided by Sportsman's Warehouse required.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves a variety of physical activities, including talking, hearing, lifting, sitting, standing for multiple hours, and repetitive motions.

Travel Requirements:

This position does not require travel.
