We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

">Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant serves as a caregiver to our residents during scheduled work periods, providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). You will be responsible for delivering age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of our residents, as outlined in their individual care plans.

Your duties will include:

  • Providing basic health care needs, including daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
  • Assisting residents with meals and snacks, providing water and supplements as appropriate.
  • Aiding providers and nursing staff members with procedures, if needed.
  • Documenting resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
  • Communicating resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.

In addition to your clinical skills, you will also have the opportunity to provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational.

You will be part of a collaborative team that is dedicated to providing high-quality care and service to our residents.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Have a high school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED).
  • Be 16 years of age or older.
  • Have prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care, preferably.
  • Hold a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing or be state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
