Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Ultra Maritime. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our naval customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for naval applications
  • Collaborate with mechanical designers to ensure seamless integration of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Provide electrical design constraints and recommendations to ensure product performance and reliability
  • Develop and maintain electrical design documentation and drawings
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth transition of designs to manufacturing
  • Support qualification testing and validation of electrical systems
Requirements:
  • BSEE from an accredited university or equivalent
  • 4-8 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in a defense electronics manufacturing or similar environment
  • Proficiency in schematic capture tools and ability to read and comprehend basic engineering design concepts
  • Strong electrical aptitude and creative ability to produce original design solutions
  • Ability to run simulations and evaluate designs
  • Familiarity with MIL specifications and requirements
Desired Skills:
  • MSEE or actively pursuing
  • Experience with RAD Hard designs and C programming for embedded drivers
  • VHDL/FPGA design experience and PIC/ARM experience
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements
