Job Summary:

The Cardiothoracic Surgery Registry Specialist will be responsible for performing extensive medical record review and concurrent chart data abstraction on all regulatory/registry-required clinical indicators for assigned patient groups. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with physicians, clinicians, and other stakeholders to ensure standards of quality are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform medical record review and data abstraction to ensure accuracy and completeness of clinical data.
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinicians to ensure standards of quality are met and to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Provide education and training to staff on core measurement requirements and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse License in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • 3 years of experience in a clinical setting.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or graduate of an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology or Radiology Technology.
