Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Trauma Intensive Care Unit (TICU).
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those with trauma injuries, sepsis, stroke, ARDS, MODS, COPD, and cardiac arrest.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, including ECG strips, and make decisions based on that information.
- Administer medications, including titratable drips, and manage patient's pain and discomfort.
- Participate in unit-specific orientation and training to ensure knowledge of unit policies, procedures, and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Nebraska.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certification.
- Experience working in an ICU or TICU setting, preferably with trauma patients.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
