Job Overview:

This 13-week travel assignment requires a CT Technologist with expertise in operating computed tomography scanners to perform diagnostic imaging procedures for patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining high-quality images of a patient's body, used by physicians to diagnose conditions such as injuries, infections, cancers, and other abnormalities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Preparation and Communication: Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining the procedure, answering any questions, and ensuring they are comfortable. Verify patient information, including medical history, allergies, and prior imaging, to ensure accurate diagnosis and appropriate imaging protocols.
  • Operation of CT Equipment: Operate and calibrate the CT scanner, ensuring proper settings for each scan, including parameters such as radiation dose, slice thickness, and imaging protocols. Administer contrast agents or dye injections (under physician or radiologist guidance) to enhance image clarity during certain CT procedures.
  • Image Quality and Review: Review the CT images for quality, ensuring that all required areas are captured and the images meet diagnostic standards. Work closely with radiologists to ensure that images are of sufficient quality to support diagnosis.
  • Patient Safety and Comfort: Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, including using the lowest possible dose for effective imaging and utilizing shielding where appropriate.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with physicians, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate imaging procedures and assist in diagnosing medical conditions.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A CT Technologist with current certification and experience working with computed tomography scanners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Benefits and Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on a 40-hour workweek and 10-hour shifts. This amount may vary depending on factors such as location, experience, and qualifications.
