About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lead CT Tech to join our team at HCA Florida Northwest Hospital. As a key member of our imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Summary

The Lead CT Tech is responsible for operating computerized tomographic scanners to produce high-quality radiographs of designated anatomical areas. This includes positioning patients, adjusting equipment controls, and explaining procedures to patients. The successful candidate will also be responsible for mentoring new staff members, practicing radiation protection techniques, and providing a safe environment for administering contrast material.

Responsibilities
  • Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality radiographs
  • Position patients and adjust equipment controls to ensure optimal image quality
  • Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns
  • Mentor new staff members and provide guidance on imaging procedures
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification
  • State Registered Radiologic Technician certification
  • Registered Computerized Tomography Technician certification
  • High School Graduate or equivalent
