Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Valid nursing license in North Carolina
  • A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
  • Previous ICU experience is mandatory
  • Recent travel nursing experience at a large healthcare facility
  • Proficient in the following skills:
    • Titration of Vesicant Medications
    • Familiarity with Pressors
    • Administration of Sedation and Paralytics
    • Experience with Ventilators and Tracheostomy care
    • Telemetry interpretation
    • Understanding of Hemodynamics and PA Catheter setup
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Additional certifications such as CCRN, IABP, Impella, and CRRT are advantageous
Additional Information
  • Patient Care: Manage a patient load of 4 to 5 patients
  • Patient Ratios: 2:1 or 1:1 (occasionally 3:1 based on patient acuity)
  • Equipment Used: Ventilators, Telemetry systems, Baxter IV Pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and Hypothermia devices
