We are seeking an experienced Roadway Engineer II to join our team at Parsons Company. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for developing and supervising the creation of contract documents for transportation projects, analyzing design issues, and delivering high-quality products to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and supervise the creation of contract documents for transportation projects, including defining the problem, establishing scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status.
  • Analyze design issues and provide detailed design that satisfies client needs.
  • Deliver products consisting of detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
  • Support other discipline activities as necessary.
  • Mentor young staff members and provide performance input.
  • Develop skill sets to lead project development in the future.
  • Provide technical guidance to young engineers and CAD Designer/Drafters on project.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
  • 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate may be required.
  • Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with road engineering.
  • Experience in developing 3D finite elements models.
  • DOT Road and wall design experience.

Desired Skills:

  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members in completion of project tasks.
  • Provide training and lead technical discussions related to roadway engineering.
  • DOT pre-certified in Road and culvert design.
