Tesla Collision Repair Program: Paint Prepper

The Tesla Collision Repair Program is seeking a skilled Paint Prepper to join our team. As a Paint Prepper, you will play a critical role in preparing vehicles for paint application, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.

Responsibilities:
  • Remove grease, dirt, paint, or rust from vehicle surfaces using abrasives, solvents, brushes, blowtorches, washing tanks, or sandblasters.
  • Assist the painter in pre-paint blending needs, working closely to ensure a perfect finish.
  • Collaborate with the paint team to maintain a smooth workflow, ensuring vehicles are delivered on schedule.
  • Fill small dents or scratches with body fillers and smooth surfaces to prepare vehicles for painting.
  • Buff and wax the finished paintwork to achieve a showroom-quality finish.
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers and power equipment, using solvents, wire brushes, and cloths for cleaning duties.
  • Detail vehicles ready for delivery to customers, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in the vehicle paint process is essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, occasionally exposed to hot, cold, wet, or humid conditions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to receive directions and work well with others.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • I-CAR certifications are preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license, preferred.
