Wound Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Healogics, the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the United States. As a Registered Nurse - Wound Care, you will play a critical role in providing patient care and handling intake and discharge processes for our Wound Care Center patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care to Wound Care Center patients and handle patient intake and discharge processes as assigned and according to hospital and nursing standards.
- Assist in vein clinic as assigned after completing Healogics Vein Clinic training.
- May serve as Case Manager to a group of patients as assigned, performing initial nursing assessments, communicating findings with assigned physicians, and documenting care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, provide education to patients or caregivers, and serve as a patient advocate in the delivery and coordination of patient care.
- Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) related duties as assigned, upon completion of Healogics hyperbaric training.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, Wound Care Center Providers, the Program Director, and the Medical Director regarding clinic and patient needs.
- Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current RN license in the state of practice - to be maintained throughout the duration of employment in the position
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Medical Surgical, Home Health, or Wound Care Certification preferred
- Wound care experience preferred
- Demonstrated competency in BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Strong interpersonal, listening, oral, and written communication skills, including presentation skills and ability to translate complex technical terms in laymen's terms
- Customer service skills and follow-up skills
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
- Teaching skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work on multiple tasks at the same time
- Ability to work with others and in a team environment
- Ability to stay calm in all situations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of computerized nursing systems
The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $38.87-$49.98 Per Hour. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications: education, experience, geography, as well as operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
