The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in budget analysis, financial management, and cost estimation, with the ability to integrate business processes and ensure efficient stewardship of public funds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic financial plans, including cost estimates and budget formulation
  • Monitor and analyze budget execution activities, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for resolution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Provide expert guidance on financial systems, processes, and tools, including activity-based costing and business case analysis
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to improve financial management and budgeting processes
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in budget analysis or a related field, with a strong background in financial management and cost estimation
  • Proficient in Excel and other financial software, with experience in accounting systems and processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • BA/BS degree in a related field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SAP and Business Objects (BOBJ) or other accounting systems
  • Knowledge of government financial processes and regulations
  • Experience developing cost proposals and budget justifications
  • Power BI experience and proficiency in data analysis and visualization
