Senior Director of IT Software Engineering

At DIRECTV, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of IT Software Engineering to lead our Genesys Cloud team. As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for driving the technical direction of our Genesys Cloud platform and ensuring its seamless integration with our contact center technologies.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement modern software development techniques, such as CI/CD, deployment automation, and version management.
- Lead a team of software engineers and developers to design, deploy, and support Genesys Cloud.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of Genesys Cloud enhancements and features.
- Develop and maintain production monitoring and alerting solutions to identify issues related to system availability, system performance, and business process success rates.
- Drive technical stewardship and production support for our telephony ecosystem, including Genesys Cloud, networks/circuits, Afiniti, CallMiner, Intradiem, IEX, Qfiniti, QPC, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably computer science or engineering.
- 3-5 years of implementation and operational experience specifically with Genesys Cloud.
- Experience with software development methodologies employed at scale, e.g. SAFe; familiarity with multiple flavors of Agile, e.g. kanban, scrum, etc.
- DevOps expertise and ability to drive pipeline-based development, automation, and other modern development techniques.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Tenacity, a bias for action and the ability to overcome obstacles and successfully execute multiple projects simultaneously, at times under extremely tight deadlines.
At DIRECTV, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $170,335 - $309,235, depending on location and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
