Position Summary:
The Warehouse/Shipping Clerk plays a crucial role in managing inventory tasks, particularly focusing on the retagging of items and supporting various logistics operations as directed by the Logistics Manager. This position is vital for maintaining the accuracy of inventory records, ensuring proper labeling of items, and fostering an organized and efficient warehouse environment.


Key Duties:
- Item Retagging: Remove outdated labels from inventory items and replace them with new or revised tags. Ensure that all labels are correctly and securely attached to the appropriate items.
- Inventory Verification: Assist in preparing and conducting inventory checks. Ensure that all labeled items are accounted for and report any discrepancies for resolution.
- Labeling and Organization: Generate and apply labels for new inventory items, ensuring compliance with company standards and readability. Aid in maintaining a systematic inventory layout.
- Task Assistance: Execute various assignments as delegated by the Logistics Manager, which may include data entry, supporting stock replenishment, or managing inventory records.
- Effective Communication: Collaborate with the Logistics Manager and team members to ensure efficient task completion and prompt communication of any issues.
- Inventory Management: Support the physical handling of inventory items, including moving, sorting, and storing products as necessary.
- Process Enhancement: Offer insights on inventory processes and recommend improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy.


Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business, logistics, or a related field is advantageous.
Experience: Previous experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a comparable role is preferred.


Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in retagging and data entry.
- Basic understanding of inventory management systems and software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical endurance to manage inventory items and perform manual tasks.
- Physical Requirements: Capability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs, and perform tasks involving standing, walking, and bending.
