We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nurse Aide to join our team at The University of Vermont Health Network's skilled nursing facility. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential care and support to residents under the supervision of licensed nurses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while prioritizing their privacy, dignity, and preferences.
  • Provide mobility support by using proper techniques and equipment to help residents with transfers, aiming to prevent falls or injuries.
  • Monitor vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate, and report any significant changes to the nursing staff.
  • Observe residents' physical and emotional conditions, and promptly notify the nursing team of any changes in behavior, mobility, or health status.
  • Assist licensed nurses with medication administration, ensuring accurate documentation, and provide nutrition support.
  • Maintain infection control protocols and collaborate with the healthcare team to implement care plans and achieve residents' goals.

Requirements

  • Active New York State Nurse Aide Certification
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a CNA, especially in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting, is preferred
