Role Summary

The Radiologic Technologist II plays a crucial role in conducting a diverse range of radiographic procedures utilizing both stationary and portable imaging equipment, including c-arms in surgical settings.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties:

  • Perform various radiographic examinations while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Work under minimal supervision, demonstrating independent judgment and initiative.
  • Engage effectively with patients, healthcare team members, and physicians in a collaborative environment.
  • Provide care to a diverse patient demographic, including neonates, children, adults, and seniors, while managing exposure to ionizing radiation.
  • Be prepared for irregular work hours, including potential overtime and on-call duties.
  • Handle physically demanding tasks that may require prolonged standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Assist in other areas during periods of low patient volume as needed.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Registered Radiologic Technologist certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Valid Radiographer license in Ohio.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Proficient in operating a variety of radiographic equipment, including mobile and portable units.
  • Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to new technologies.
  • Ability to interact professionally and tactfully with patients, physicians, and colleagues.
  • Capability to endure physical demands such as standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks efficiently and accurately.
