As a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist, you will be working in a highly supportive school district near Toledo, Ohio.

Job Summary:

This role involves enhancing verbal and non-verbal communication skills for students. You will develop cognitive communication skills, focusing on memory, attention, and problem-solving, assist students with swallowing challenges, provide alternative communication tools, tackle voice-related issues, empower students to express themselves clearly, and diagnose and address speech disorders.

Your Role & Responsibilities:
  • Communication Skills Enhancement: Help students overcome verbal and non-verbal barriers through targeted interventions.
  • Cognitive Development: Foster memory, attention, and problem-solving skills in your students.
  • Swallowing Support: Assist students with dysphagia, ensuring they can safely consume food and liquids.
  • Alternative Communication Tools: Provide students with communication boards or speech-generating devices to aid expression.
  • Voice Care: Address pitch, volume, and quality concerns to promote clear and confident communication.
  • Empowerment: Encourage students to articulate their thoughts and feelings effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Speech Disorder Diagnosis and Treatment: Identify and address various speech disorders, including sound production, fluency, and voice issues.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Speech and Communication Disorders is required.
  • Prior experience working with children in educational settings is highly valued.
  • A valid OH SLP license is essential (Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply).
Compensation & Benefits:
  • We offer a competitive hourly rate of $50-$60 per hour, based on experience.
  • A guaranteed 35-40 hours per week ensures stability and predictability.
