Job Summary

At MUSC Health & Medical University of SC, we are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As an Ultrasound Imaging Technician, you will be responsible for operating ultrasonic equipment to produce high-quality images of the body's organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform sonographic examinations to locate, evaluate, and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data.
  • Record test results, inspect and maintain equipment, and order supplies as needed.
  • Review physician requisition orders and instructions concerning patient preparation for ultrasound procedures.
  • Communicate with the OB/GYN nursing team regarding patient status pre and post procedure.
  • Perform ultrasound imaging for fetal diagnosis and anomaly detection for patients with high-risk indications.

Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Ultrasound Technology.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification is required, with advanced registration preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
