Job Description:

At Tokyo Electron, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Engineer Intern to join our team. This internship will provide an opportunity to develop new or modified processes and methods applied in the manufacturing, fabrication, and evaluation of semiconductors.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement new or modified processes and methods for semiconductor manufacturing, fabrication, and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with group engineers to propose criteria and formats for hardware and process evaluations.
  • Analyze and present experimental data to colleagues, identifying key findings and recommendations.
  • Create and revise standard operating procedures as needed, documenting tasks for future reference.
  • Compile and analyze test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications.
  • Assist in recommending and interpreting physical and chemical behaviors as part of process characterization.
  • Become familiar with semiconductor processing techniques through literature and hands-on learning.
  • Prepare and present a final project report summarizing internship accomplishments and lessons learned.
Requirements:
  • Pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree in Nanoscience, Engineering, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Physics, or related fields.
  • Experience with Statistical Design and Analysis of Experiment methods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work effectively in teams and independently.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Ability to work safely in a laboratory environment with hazardous chemicals.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S without sponsorship.
Physical Requirements:

Job duties may be performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, requiring mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing, use of Personal Protection equipment, and adherence to industry safety procedures when working with dangerous elements or conditions.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
