We are currently seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Neurology Clinician to become a vital member of our healthcare team. In this role, you will leverage your clinical expertise and interpersonal abilities to provide top-tier care to patients in a Nursing Home environment. The ideal candidate is not only knowledgeable but also empathetic and dedicated to serving the elderly population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough physical and cognitive evaluations for patients experiencing neurological issues, including those with a history of cerebrovascular accidents, gait abnormalities, dementia, neuropathy, and other neurological disorders.
- Order and analyze diagnostic tests to assist in the identification of neurological conditions.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments based on individual patient needs, adhering to state regulations.
- Design and implement personalized care strategies for patients with neurological challenges.
- Assist in neurological interventions, such as lumbar punctures and nerve conduction studies, when medically necessary.
- Educate patients and their families or caregivers about neurological disorders, treatment alternatives, and symptom management.
- Maintain precise and current medical documentation using our user-friendly electronic health record system.
- Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and continuity of services.
Qualifications:
- Possession of an active Nurse Practitioner license in New Jersey.
- Current DEA registration.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a Neurology Nurse Practitioner.
- Experience in a nursing home setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Work Environment:
- Nursing Home/Skilled Nursing Facility.
Schedule:
- Flexible availability of 2-3 days per month (select your preferred days and hours).
