About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Associate to join our team at Sharing Excess. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Sorting and Packing: Inspect and sort produce to ensure quality and safety standards are met, and pack food donations for distribution.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Set up, break down, and maintain the food sorting area, including weighing food donations and maintaining accurate records.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and train on-site volunteer produce sorters, ensuring they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Logistics and Coordination: Assist with coordinating and moving food from the sorting area to the loading dock or external vehicles, maintaining a safe and clean warehouse environment.
Requirements
  • Availability: Must be available to work 9 am - 2 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at one time.
  • Transportation: Must have a personal vehicle or reliable transportation.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Compensation: $20-25 per hour, commensurate with experience.
