Job Responsibilities and QualificationsWe seek a seasoned RN ready to advance into a nursing leadership role as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) in the Intermediate Care Unit. In this capacity, you will mentor and support your team to achieve optimal outcomes while providing direct nursing care to adult patients who are critically ill and recovering from various nonsurgical medical and post-surgical conditions.
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and oversees all functions within the unit. Collaborating with the management team, the CNC monitors and assesses nursing care in alignment with established protocols. The CNC acts as a resource for staff and fosters an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, assess, customize, and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Assist with admission and discharge processes.
- Work alongside subject matter experts and leadership to enhance outcomes and service delivery.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and training to elevate performance and engagement.
- Assist with staff scheduling.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or a Current Multistate Compact License.
- 3+ years of recent nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- 1 year of leadership experience in a hospital environment preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
