Position Overview:
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Utah is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified cardiac electrophysiologist to enhance our team of five electrophysiologists, alongside three additional specialists at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Salt Lake City. Our mission is to advance research, education, and clinical services for patients with heart rhythm disorders.

Facilities and Resources:
Our state-of-the-art University Hospital features two dedicated electrophysiology laboratories, with a third currently under development. Each lab is equipped with modern mapping systems and a diverse array of ablation tools, supported by a dedicated technical team. A hybrid lab is also available for lead extraction procedures.

Clinical Expertise:
As a regional referral center, we provide specialized care in complex atrial and ventricular ablations, cardiac implantable technologies, and chronic device/lead extractions. Candidates should possess expertise in catheter ablation for both atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, along with experience in implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), pacemakers (including leadless and physiologic systems), and cardiac device/lead extractions.

Additional Opportunities:
There are further prospects for managing complex arrhythmias through large referral practices, which support areas such as adult congenital heart disease, advanced heart failure, sports cardiology, and inherited channelopathies and cardiomyopathies.

Academic Involvement:
We seek applicants interested in a clinical academic career that encompasses teaching, expert clinical care, research, and scholarly activities. Time allocation for research is negotiable based on prior experience, current funding, and individual career objectives.
