Role Summary: The Accounting and HR Specialist plays a crucial role in the financial and human resources operations of Inovar Packaging. This position is essential for the precise management of payments, billing, invoicing, and various HR responsibilities. The individual in this role must prioritize the integrity and precision of financial documentation, ensuring that all customer accounts and vendor transactions are accurately maintained within the accounting framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Billing and Invoicing: Create and oversee all customer invoices and manage the billing cycle efficiently.
  • Payment Oversight: Supervise credit card transactions, update payment records, and guarantee the prompt deposit and allocation of check payments to customer accounts.
  • Accounts Payable Management: Reconcile and process accounts payable invoices, verify purchase orders and packing slips for correctness, and prepare vendor payments via check and ACH.
  • Collections Management: Proactively communicate with customers to ensure timely payments and manage the collections process effectively.
  • Human Resources Functions: Engage in various HR tasks, including posting job openings, coordinating interviews for management, reviewing timecards for accuracy, and planning events.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Accounting and HR: Demonstrated experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, human resources, and general accounting practices.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to walk frequently and efficiently manage filing tasks.
  • Financial Knowledge: Strong mathematical skills with a solid understanding of debits and credits.
  • Communication Proficiency: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on ownership of issues and the development of effective solutions.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and the Internet. Capability to learn new software and work with complex spreadsheets.
  • Multi-tasking Ability: Competence in managing multiple interconnected tasks efficiently, balancing priorities and deadlines.
