Key Responsibilities:

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN, you will:

  • Ensure compliance with regulations regarding radioactive materials as mandated by health authorities.
  • Exhibit proficiency in nuclear medicine practices, including patient positioning and procedure preparation.
  • Handle radiopharmaceuticals and maintain accurate records in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Utilize the Radiology Information System for scheduling, tracking, and charge entry.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives within the Radiology Department.
  • Assist in data collection and review to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A degree from a Nuclear Medicine training program.
  • A background in Radiology Technology.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist.
  • Completion of ongoing training and competencies relevant to the patient population.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years of experience in a hospital setting as a nuclear medicine technologist is preferred.

Licensure Requirements:

Certification as a Medical Radiologic Technologist from the Texas Department of Health and certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or Registered Radiographer (ARRT) is required within a specified timeframe of employment.

This position requires full vaccination for COVID-19 in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
