Job Title: Home Visitor II

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing culturally sensitive home visiting services to pregnant women and families with children up to the age of 3. The Home Visitor II will work with families to support the parent-child relationship, understand the child's needs, and connect families to formal and informal community resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct program recruitment and outreach
  • Administer screening tools per Program Standards
  • Maintain a caseload as determined by Program Manager
  • Recognize the need to understand different backgrounds, family situations, and values to implement culturally sensitive services
  • Maintain records according to program standards and requirements
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood, social work, or a related field
  • Early childhood and/or social work experience required
  • Multicultural understanding and sensitivity required
  • Ability to maintain up-to-date records and correspondence according to program standards
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Computer skills
  • Reliable transportation with a valid New Mexico driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Home visiting experience
  • Breastfeeding knowledge
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Certifications in early childhood and/or social/emotional learning
  • Infant Mental Health endorsement, Level 1 or 2

Scope of Services: This position is contingent on the availability of grant-funding.
